Dalhousie Medical School

Canada

We are a medical school, born in 1868, that teaches scientific excellence and humanity in medicine, a school that trains doctors to be accomplished clinicians, compassionate caregivers, good communicators, and balanced individuals.

We move research to the classroom, the bedside, and the community as quickly as possible. Dalhousie Medical School faculty members make their internationally recognized clinical and research expertise available whenever and wherever such help is needed. This expertise is vital to the ongoing and future delivery of quality health care in the Maritime provinces.

We are home to some of Canada's top scientists, clinicians and students, and a centre of excellence that contributes much to the world's medical knowledge base. Through a collaborative environment, we provide students with hands-on experience and direct access to world class researchers.

Our efforts in education, research and patient care are truly integrated, resulting in steady progress toward the goal of better health care for our community and yours.
